Stephen is a partner in the corporate advisory team and has over 30 years’ legal experience, advising a wide range of blue-chip companies on all aspects of commercial law including corporate governance, contract law, trade practices, overseas investment, competition and securities.

Stephen has particular expertise in mergers and acquisitions and securities and energy law. He was involved in drafting the original rules for New Zealand’s wholesale electricity market and has acted on a wide range of commercial transactions for many participants in that market including Mercury NZ on its establishment, geothermal developments and IPO, and the Crown on the IPO of Genesis Energy.
