Specialist areas of practice:
Mitchell is a senior associate in the dispute resolution team in Auckland. He has advised clients on a wide range of complex disputes including insolvency related proceedings, construction disputes, negligence claims, prosecutions under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and various aspects of insurance law.
Mitchell has extensive courtroom experience having appeared in the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal in New Zealand. Mitchell also has experience in a variety of alternative dispute resolution forums, including arbitration, mediation, and negotiations.
Prior to joining Wynn Williams, Mitchell worked in London conducting judicial review proceedings on behalf of the Home Secretary before the Administrative Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court.
