Maria is a Senior Associate in Wynn Williams’ Corporate Advisory & Transactions team, based in Auckland. She advises clients in New Zealand and internationally across the technology, transportation and retail sectors on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.
She provides corporate advisory services, specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, commercial contracts, business structuring and day-to-day corporate governance matters. Maria’s experience spans cross-border transactions and international business operations, helping clients navigate complex legal and regulatory frameworks.
Known for her practical, results-focused, and business-oriented approach, Maria tailors her legal advice to each client’s objectives, helping entrepreneurs, SMEs, and multinational corporates achieve their commercial goals. As a bilingual lawyer fluent in English and Spanish, she communicates effectively with clients across diverse markets and frequently assists Latin American investors engaging with New Zealand businesses.
Before joining Wynn Williams, Maria worked as in-house commercial counsel for a listed company in Mexico and New York, and at leading firms in Mexico City and Auckland. She is admitted to practice in Mexico and is currently pursuing admission in New Zealand.
