Kate is a Senior Associate in the Local Government and Environment and Planning Team, based in Christchurch. She regularly provides advice in relation to both district and regional resource management matters, including working with local authorities, developers, and private clients on planning processes, resource consent applications, and local government issues, as well as providing strategic and practical advice.

Kate has particular expertise in complex consenting matters (acting for both local authorities and private developers) and judicial review proceedings.

Kate has appeared before council hearing panels, the Environment Court and High Court on various local government and environmental matters.

Kate is a member of the Canterbury-Westland branch committee of the Resource Management Law Association.
