Specialist areas of practice:
Anthony is an employment law specialist with over 30 years of experience, covering all aspects of employment law. He represents clients in a wide range of industries, with particular focus on health, transport and infrastructure. The nature of these industries means health and safety is paramount when considering all employment matters. His experience includes complex employment litigation concerning the interpretation of clauses in collective agreements, employee fraud and recovery, and professional competency obligations and their implications in employment.
Anthony regularly appears in the Employment Relations Authority and the Employment Court. He has previously been a prosecutor at the Serious Fraud Office, as well as a lecturer in law at the University of Waikato, and more recently as a visiting lecturer at AUT. He has previously served on the Board of the Employment Law Institute, as well as the ADLS (now Law Association of New Zealand Inc) Employment Law Committee.
Anthony has an active interest in sports law (and its links with employment law) and is a member of the Australia New Zealand Sports Law Association (ANZSLA).
