Imogen is an integral member of the firm’s environment and planning team, based in Christchurch. She is experienced in all aspects of resource management and environmental law, as well as local government law, but her particular focus is regional and district planning processes.

Imogen has particular expertise with advising local authorities on the implementation of national direction and navigating complex planning processes. Including freshwater management and urban development.

In the consenting space, Imogen acts for both local authorities and clients in the private sector and has developed particular expertise in consent review processes.

Imogen has appeared in the Environment Court, High Court, and Court of Appeal in relation to various environmental matters. She has also spent time on secondment at a regional council and has extensive knowledge of local government obligations and processes.
