Ash is a corporate and commercial law specialist with over 20 years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital. Appointed in 2023, he is Wynn Williams’ Managing Partner.

Ash regularly advises directors, boards and shareholders on complex governance matters, bringing commercial acumen and an “adaptable personal style” that clients say drives success in negotiations and deal-making. Drawing on broad industry experience, he navigates complex regulatory landscapes while delivering pragmatic, results-driven solutions for private equity sponsors, venture capital firms, family businesses and corporate investors.

As Managing Partner, Ash leads Wynn Williams’ strategic direction, operational excellence and cultural integrity in close collaboration with the Firm’s Board and partnership. Under his stewardship, the Firm has experienced strong growth both organically and through strategic lateral hires, cementing its leading position in the Aotearoa New Zealand legal market.
