Graduates & Summer Clerks
Wynn Williams has a graduate recruitment program in place. Each year, we look to employ a number of top graduates to ensure we maintain and enhance our resources and the standard of service we offer to our clients.
We have a close association with the University of Canterbury and work with the faculty each year during recruitment time. We also invite applications from talented students anywhere in the country.
As a graduate at Wynn Williams, you would be assigned a supervising partner who would take charge of your continued learning and development. You would be exposed to a wide variety of interesting work and build a solid foundation of knowledge and experience. We see this early exposure to challenging work, client contact and high levels of responsibility, coupled with the mentoring from a senior solicitor, as a key point of difference to some other graduate opportunities.
Wynn Williams is committed to providing excellent ongoing legal training and development opportunities for all staff members. We run in-house seminars each week and encourage attendance at outside training also. We encourage people to continue to develop their interest in the law and to become the best lawyers they can be.
In addition to the graduate programme we employ summer clerks each year over the holiday period. Summer Clerks work with a litigation partner for half of the time that they are with the firm, and with a commercial partner for the other half. Again, we ensure that summer clerks receive interesting and varied work that gives them a real understanding of practising law.
